The driver was traveling into Sherborn from Framingham on Friday, Jan. 26, around 9:20 p.m. at a high rate of speed before losing control of their car and colliding into a tree, according to police.

The 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit started sliding, and the driver-side hit the tree, causing the roof to cave in.

The driver was going more than 70 miles per hour on Western Avenue, which is a 35 miles per hour zone.
